E. grandis x E. camaldulensis

Clonal Solutions Australia produces Eucalyptus grandis x E. camaldulensis (‘gxc’) hybrid clones for supply to forestry plantations throughout Australia.

These ‘gxc’ clones were the first eucalypt clones to be grown commercially in Australia. Clonal Solutions Australia pioneered the mass production of clonal eucalypts for commercial forestry in Australia, and has since produced over 10 million of these gxc clones for plantations throughout Australia from Albany (WA) to Darwin (NT).

Of the original 20 original gxc clones, two clones (#11 and #20) attracted immediate attention as being particularly suited to a range of Australian conditions, and continue to remain popular with foresters.

Features of the gxc clones are:

  • Fast growth
  • Vigour
  • Tall straight trunk
  • Apical dominance

Plants are supplied in Quickpots™ in 40 cell Hiko trays, sun hardened and ready to plant.

Transport: As a guide, plants are dispatched in pallet-lots (approximately 6,000 plants) or semi-trailer loads (approximately 150,000 plants).

Prices range from $1.10 (for small orders) down to $0.77 (incl GST) depending on quantity. Large orders POA.
